Virginia State Brings Home Six All-American Trophies

Virginia State University placed tied for 19th place and totaled six All-American trophies at the 2011 NCAA DII Indoor Track and Field Championships in Albuquerque, NM.

Junior sprinter, Samantha Edwards (Elmont, NY) received the All-American honors three times with a third place finish in the women’s 400m (55.30), eight place finish in the women’s 200m (24.46), and a sixth place finish as a part of VSU’s 4X400m relay team (3:48.97), along with senior Dominique King (Kansas City, MO), junior Faith Brock (Virginia Beach, VA) and sophomore Jovonee Tyson-King (Pontiac, MI).
